Describe your role at Anthill and what a typical day looks like for you.
I like to start my day with a contrast shower, wakes me up better than coffee. Then I choose on the daily priorities while eating breakfast. That includes work like implementing features, designing a new service, fixing bugs or spending time improving the existing codebase and collaborating with colleagues. In the late afternoon I attend a few daily meetings to sync with the team on progress and priorities and if all is good I enjoy a nice night of wall climbing.
Describe your job in a way that a 3-year-old would understand it.
Data is the building material of the internet. Imagine building a house you’re going to need some materials for it, like bricks, wood, glass and metal. My job is to gather all raw materials you need, like trees, rocks and sand, and transform them into bricks, wood, glass and metal. Then I store them in piles, ready for you to get them and build your house.
What was your motivation to join Anthill’s team?
For me Anthill provided the perfect blend between outsourcing and product companies. Allowing me to work long term directly for a US Product Company. The tech stack is as cutting edge as it gets. And you get to work fully remote, but we also have a great office.

Can you share something you are currently working on that you find particularly exciting or challenging, and why?
Collaborating with Data Science team to integrate an innovative approach to ECR-ed PDF data extraction. The standard approach requires geometric extraction which may differ for every PDF design, thus requiring separate implementation for different designs. Replacing geometric extraction by LLM’s effectively reduced Data Engineering efforts to just cleaning, mapping and exporting the data.
What are your future goals & aspirations?
My company goal is to get further involved in designing the services I implement. I come from a full stack (more backend oriented) background and got pulled into Data Engineering. Now I aspire to become even more versatile, by tapping into the worlds of Data Science and Web3.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Reading articles, learning new skills. Indulging in my hobbies like racing at karting events, wall climbing, free diving and skiing. And of course, the occasional quality time with family and friends.
