Describe your role at Anthill and what a typical day looks like for you.

My role at Anthill is DevOps engineer, and that usually means a Jack Of All Trades.

My day-to-day responsibilities include digging into business needs and dev requirements, infrastructure design, mentoring best practices, and through that chain, back and forth, usually countless times a day. It is a creative a creative and very impactful spot. I do technical implementations, as well as selling ideas. A lot of storytelling is involved.

Describe your job in a way that a 3-year-old would understand it.

I am like Bob the Builder, but for computer clouds. We do software renovations.

What was your motivation to join Anthill’s team?

It is always about the people, when it comes to being a part of a team. Friendly and helpful colleagues, creative freedom, growth opportunity, among other things, makes it an “A” team for me.

How does Anthill encourage and support you to pursue your interests?

Anthill is a great place to be as we get exposure to people with expertise, also heavily investing in conferences, events, and training. The company is aligned with what people want to develop into.

Can you share something you are currently working on that you find particularly exciting or challenging, and why?

Taming 1000+ repositories so we can understand, measure and improve time-to-market  for our client’s software. It is my role to define processes and suggest technical  improvements, even the adoption of brand new strategies.

What are your future goals & aspirations?

Bumping the team’s skillset and impact  via newsletters and dev-ops related  content is what lies ahead. I am a big believer in marketing of ideas.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I am a family man, and that is a full-time hobby, but also I steal some time to play DnD every week, I am a chess aficionado and a gamer, but also do outsides activities like sailing and skating/biking in the summer, and snowboarding in the winter. Honorable mentions for music, books, and digging open-source software.
