From his early days as a Helpdesk Analyst to his current role at Anthill, Martin’s journey is a testament to his dedication and expertise in ensuring software quality. Q: Can you describe your role at Anthill and what a typical day looks like for you?
Martin Hristov: My day begins with a refreshing cup of coffee, followed by sifting through numerous emails. Once I’ve sorted through them, I review and prioritize my tasks for the day. With my playlist set, I delve into my work. A significant part of my day involves meetings with our client, CCC Intelligent Solutions.
Q: Please describe your job in a way that a 3-year-old would understand it.
Martin Hristov: Think of me as a toy detective. I closely inspect toys to ensure they work perfectly. If I find any issues, I alert my trusty, smart engineers, and together, we make sure the toys are ready for playtime.
Q: How do you stay current with the latest technologies and trends in software development?
Martin Hristov: I regularly follow podcasts, blogs, and YouTube channels centered on tech updates. Attending events has also become a valuable source of information for me, as they offer a more interactive learning experience.
Q: What was your motivation to join Anthill’s team?
Martin Hristov: Initially, it was the allure of making a change from my previous job where I had the feeling there was nothing else I could learn. Not being a part of a team was also something I strongly disliked. Anthill ticked all of my boxes as it provided me with the opportunity to work with exceptional individuals as part of a team which I greatly enjoy.
Q: Can you share a project that you are currently working on that you find particularly exciting or challenging, and why?
Martin Hristov: I’m currently working for the Estimating team of Anthill’s biggest partner, CCC Intelligent Solutions. The project is intricate, requiring keen attention to detail and clear communication, given the involvement of multiple teams. It’s essential to convey any challenges or issues transparently to ensure a smooth workflow.
Q: What are your future goals & aspirations?
Martin Hristov: I believe in embracing the present and welcoming life’s surprises. Rather than setting distant goals, I focus on personal growth each day, akin to progressing in a video game.
Q: Last but not least, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Martin Hristov: I relish moments spent in nature, away from the Big City. Additionally, I’m passionate about side projects, like podcasting, where I can share stories and concepts that resonate with me.
