From her early morning routine to her approach to staying updated with the latest in software development, Tsvetelina offers a glimpse into the life of a QA Аutomation Еngineer.
Q: Can you describe your role at Anthill and what a typical day looks like for you?
Tsvetelina: In my role at Anthill, my typical day kicks off with a cup of coffee and an email check. I start by outlining my tasks for the day and gathering information for our team’s daily meeting. I eagerly anticipate meeting my colleagues, who are not only highly skilled but also wonderful to work with.
The day continues with focused work on my assigned tasks, which often involve coding and problem-solving. It’s a pleasure to be part of a cooperative and supportive team at Anthill, and this positive environment enhances our collective productivity and creativity.
Q: Please describe your job in a way that a 3-year-old would understand it.
Tsvetelina: I’m like a superhero for LEGO sets. Imagine getting a brand new LEGO kit; my job is to open the box, make sure all the pieces are there, and then put everything together, just like a puzzle. If by chance there are pieces missing or something doesn’t fit right, I step in to restore or fix it, so you can enjoy building your LEGO creation without any problems.
Q: How do you stay current with the latest technologies and trends in software development?
Tsvetelina: Staying up to date with the latest tech stuff is part of my job as a QA Automation Engineer. I love learning about new tools and tricks whenever I can. Plus, I enjoy mingling with other QAs and developers to get the scoop on what’s happening behind the scenes of the code. I love to take courses to keep my skills sharp. It’s all about making our software better and having fun along the way!
Q: What was your motivation to join Anthill’s team?
Tsvetelina: My motivation to join Anthill’s team was sparked right from the initial conversation with the HR representative. The warmth and friendliness of everyone I interacted with during the hiring process left a strong positive impression on me. This initial experience made me excited about the company culture.
Additionally, the specific project and tools proposed to me were genuinely intriguing. They aligned well with my professional interests and offered an exciting opportunity for growth. All these factors combined made my decision to join Anthill an easy and enthusiastic one.
Q: Can you share a project that you are currently working on that you find particularly exciting or challenging, and why?
Tsvetelina: The project I’m currently working on is quite interesting, and it comes with its fair share of challenges. What excites me is the opportunity to learn and grow as I work. Being able to collaborate with a major company like Allane Mobility Group and its experienced professionals has been a motivating factor.
The tools and technologies I’ve been using for this project have opened up new learning avenues. They’ve given me a better understanding of the code and more effective testing strategies.
In summary, this project strikes a good balance between being exciting and a bit challenging, which is exactly what I was looking for in my role. It allows me to continue learning and contribute to its success.
Q: What are your future goals & aspirations?
Tsvetelina: My future goals and aspirations revolve around continuous growth and making a meaningful impact. In the short term, I aim to excel in my current role, becoming even more proficient in QA automation and further contributing to the success of the projects I work on. I’m keen on expanding my knowledge of cutting-edge technologies and trends in software development.
Over the long term, I aspire to take on more leadership responsibilities, potentially in a role where I can mentor and guide junior team members, sharing the knowledge and experience I’ve gained. Ultimately, my goal is to be an integral part of innovative projects that make a positive difference in the world of software development and quality assurance.
Q: Last but not least, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Tsvetelina: In my free time, I cherish moments spent with my family, especially with my kid. We enjoy traveling with our camper van, exploring new places, and creating lasting memories together. I’m also quite enthusiastic about sports, and I find relaxation and balance in activities like yoga and playing volleyball. These hobbies allow me to recharge and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
